Prepared 13X Zeolite as a Promising Adsorbent for the Removal of Brilliant Blue Dye from Wastewater

The research discussed the possibility of adsorption Brilliant Blue Dye (BBD) from wastewater using 13X zeolite adsorbent, which is considered a byproduct production process potassium carbonate Iraqi potash raw materials. adsorbent was prepared and characterized by X-ray diffraction that showed clear match with standard zeolite. crystallinity rate 82.15% crystal size 5.29 nm. surface area pore volume obtained were estimated. ability to remove BBD contaminant at concentrations 5 50 ppm removal reached 96.60% lower pollutant concentration. Adsorption measurements versus time 48.18% dye during just first half-hour maximum closest equilibrium after one half hour. Langmuir isotherm described data capacity 93.46 mg/g kinetics followed pseudo-second-order.
